Mazda finally introduced its latest SUV Called 2020 Mazda CX-30 at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. This presence will fill the segment gap between CX-3 and CX-5 that already exists today. In line with Kodo design, the CX-30 finds its way between the CX-3 and CX-5. This is the Mazda surprise of the 2019 Geneva show.
With a length of 4.40 meters by 1.80 wide and 1.54 high, the size of the CX-30 is similar to that of the Toyota CH-R and Nissan Qashqai. Toyota has the sliced design and the more Nissan everywhere, Mazda opposes the more licked of its CX-30, faithful to Kodo, the “soul of the movement”, dear to the builder of Hiroshima.
2020 Mazda CX-30 offers the latest language from Kodo Design starting from a large patterned grille such as black plaits, slanted lights, to the bumper there is a slim LED light, functioning as a fog light. It should have been called CX-4, but this surname is already used by an SUV brand, sold in China and bigger than the CX-5! Anyway, filiation with the CX-3 and CX-5 is obvious. Too much can think of some. Mazda will be wrong to deprive himself of a successful drawing. We find the Skyactiv platform of the brand associated with technologies of the same name. Especially the arrival of the compression-ignition Skyactiv X engine, which will join the announced diesel and petrol engines. Mazda also promises 2- and 4-wheel drive versions, combined with manual or automatic transmissions.
This Mazda strategy, at first glance, is similar to BMW which solidifies their SUV product line. The scheme is similar to the BMW X4, which is still one base from the BMW X3, it’s just made more sporty with the coupe roof. Unfortunately, we cannot guess who is the right rival for this car, considering they have not announced the price and details of the engine used.
Now the CX-30 is still in the introductory stage, and will only be launched in Europe in mid-2019. The 2020 Mazda CX-30 is expected in dealerships this summer.
